Last chance to enter the Toby Balding Award!
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO THE 18 JANUARY 2021!
This is an annual £3,000 award to a member of racing staff who demonstrates a desire to further their career and to train for a higher-level qualification or undertake personal development training.
The award is funded by the National Trainers Federation Charitable Trust (NTFCT) from a donation made by the Swire Trust in memory of the late racehorse trainer Toby Balding. Mr Balding was dedicated to the support and development of young people in the horseracing industry.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the award, racing staff must:

- be willing to study and achieve qualifications to prepare them for senior roles. For example, studying for the Level Three Diploma in Work Based Racehorse Care and Management plus attending relevant leadership courses.
- commit to developing a clear career path and engaging with Careers Advice and Training Services (CATS) to support them throughout the process.

Applicants will be asked to provide a short training and development plan explaining how and why the training will improve their career pathway and the impact that it will have on their personal situation.
