Independent Schools Inspectorate finds The British Racing School to be Excellent in all areas
A 2 day inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) last month has reported the British Racing School (BRS) as Excellent – exceeds expectation.
The BRS, which has a current grading of Outstanding by OFSTED, was graded Excellent in all 3 areas looked at by the ISI:
- Teaching and Learning
- Welfare, Safeguarding & H&S
- Governance, Leadership and Oversight
The summary of findings in the reported stated “The School exceeds expectations for the quality of education. At the time of inspection, all Standards for Educational Oversight were met and quality is excellent. The quality of the curriculum, teaching and learners’ achievements is excellent, students’ welfare, including Health and Safety is excellent and the effectiveness of governance, leadership and management is excellent”.
This is a huge endorsement and Grant Harris, CEO of BRS, says “This is a wonderful result to go along side our Ofsted Outstanding and Apprenticeship Provider of Year awards.
It is testament to the staff at the BRS that the Independent Schools Inspectorate has awarded the school ”Excellent – Exceeds Expectations” and reward for all their hard work keeping the school open throughout the pandemic, embracing the curriculum review and continuing to train and educate young people wanting a career in horseracing. They should be immensely proud of these awards.”
